Environmental Studies
Give to Environmental Studies on Giving Day!
The exciting Environmental Studies department integrates courses in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences to give students the tools they need to examine complex environmental issues in depth and assess them from a variety of perspectives. The program combines a solid academic foundation with extensive experiential learning opportunities: frequent opportunities for research and community engagement provide ENVR graduates with a substantial foundation for further graduate study or meaningful careers in environmental fields.
We need your help to give our students the hands-on environmental experiences outdoors that solidify the concepts they are learning indoors. Your gift, no matter the size, combined with others, will help the Environmental Studies Department continue to provide an excellent program for our students. Your investment will help provide student stewardship and advocacy opportunities as well as seminar speakers.
Equestrian Club
Consider donating to SU Equestrian Club this Giving Day!
Salisbury University's Equestrian Club consists of two teams; a recreational team for non-competing members, and a team that competes in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association, a nationwide network of 345 teams and over 7,600 riders. The team has nearly doubled in size in recent years, and is more competitive than ever before. Help this group of talented riders show what Salisbury University can do!
A gift to the Equestrian Club will help provide funding for team members traveling expenses and show fees. These shows usually take place out of state and sometimes require overnight stays. Your gift to the Equestrian Club will help ensure that both horses and riders are able to perform at their best and represent Salisbury University successfully.

Give to FEI Mitch Halbrich Memorial Scholarship on Giving Day!
Mitch Halbrich worked in the Baltimore area for over 30 years as an executive placement recruiter in the accounting and finance industry. Most recently, he held the position of senior director at Randstad Professionals, where he was a mentor and a top performer. Mitch was diagnosed with lung cancer in October 2015 and fought the only way he knew how – with vigor and heart. He lost his battle on November 4, 2016, at the age of 61.

Faculty Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Faculty Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in May 2015 by the (then) president of the Faculty Senate to honor former SU faculty who have passed away. The Fund will become an endowment once the fund balance reaches $10,000. Donations in memory of any individual who served as a full-time SU faculty member for three or more years may be made in any amount and will be tracked for inclusion in the honoree list. Once the total donated in your colleague’s honor reaches $500, your colleague will be included in the scholarship’s honoree list and added to the Faulty Memorial Plaque located in the Faculty Center in the GAC (pictured on this page). When you click "Contribute," then proceed to payment, you can indicate the individual in whose honor you are donating in the "Other" section of the gift form.
The endowment will be used to fund annually a one-time non-renewable scholarship in honor of all those former faculty. The scholarship is for an SU undergraduate or graduate student in good standing with at least two semesters remaining until degree completion at SU who demonstrates those attributes and skills needed to become an effective university or college educator and who is nominated by a current SU faculty member. Recipients will be chosen by a faculty committee with representatives from all departments in which at least one honoree has served.
