Charles E. Elliott ’78 Memorial Scholarship

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Gamma Kappa Chapter, created the Charles E. Elliott Memorial Scholarship in loving memory of beloved husband, father and friend Charles E. Elliott ’78. As an active student leader on the campus of Salisbury University, Charles left his mark on everyone he met. He was a pioneer in many ways, as he was the first president of the Black Student Union, the first Basileus of Gamma Kappa, and the founder and first president of the National Pan-Hellenic Council at SU. During his time as an undergraduate, Charles was also a proud member of the football team. He loved Salisbury University and mentored many undergraduates who made their way to SU from the Baltimore area. Many students attended and graduated due to the impactful mentorship that Charles provided.

All the proceeds from the Charles E. Elliott Memorial Scholarship will go to give financial assistance to students who demonstrate financial need who are Maryland residents. Take this opportunity to honor the impact Charles has had on so many lives over the years and make your gift today!

Chemistry

Give to Chemistry on Giving Day!

The primary mission of the Salisbury University Department of Chemistry is to provide a comprehensive, student-centered undergraduate program of study that meets the changing needs of today's professional chemists in the scientific, health, and education communities. Because chemistry explains the molecular basis of life and how medicines work, a chemistry degree, particularly our pre-health professional track, is a great way to prepare for careers in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and other health-related professions.

We need your help to provide our students with hands-on research opportunities. Your investment no matter the size, combined with others, will provide much needed assistance in equipment upgrades, research grant assistance and new equipment purchases.
