Mobile Learning Lab & Makerspace
Salisbury University is pioneering the idea of “classrooms” as makerspaces, which will push future educators to inspire their students to be makers, inventors, and entrepreneurs. Both faculty and students are learning to infuse the maker mindset into their teaching philosophies by applying a combination of programming, design thinking, 3D modeling, and physical computing experiences. While the university’s educator preparation program has a stand-alone technology course, it is also emphasizing the integration of concepts across all instructional methods courses. To build capacity for in-service educators, the School of Education is also offering professional development in invention literacy for practicing teachers to increase play-based learning and makerspace access.

Modern Languages
Give to Modern Languages and Intercultural Studies on Giving Day!
At Salisbury University, all language courses are a part of the Fulton School of Liberal Arts. Our major programs have been designed to include the following academic disciplines: literature, history, cultural studies, and applied linguistics. All levels, however, will blend both skills and content acquisition, and will promote the development of critical thinking skills. Critical thinking infuses everything we do, from language learning to understanding poetry to study abroad.
We need your help to give our students the understanding of not only language but also foreign concepts and how they impact society. Your gift, no matter the size, combined with others, will help the Modern Languages and Intercultural Studies Department provide a greater understanding of language and human interaction for our students.
Modlin Family Scholarship
The Modlin Family Scholarship was established by SU alumnus Eli Modlin and his family to provide financial support for students with financial need. The scholarship is for students who are Maryland residents entering Salisbury University as a freshman. Thank you for supporting our students through the Modlin Family Scholarship.
Museum of Eastern Shore Culture
In addition to exhibits, the museum also will host programming including workshops with local artisans, a speaker series featuring regional topics of interest, featured artist talks, regular youth and community programs, and open hours during the Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District's monthly 3rd Friday celebration.
Give today to continue preserving and celebrating the history of the Eastern Shore!
Music
Give to Music on Giving Day!
The Peter and Judy Jackson Music Program, accredited with the National Association of Schools of Music since 2006, presents the study of music as an integral part of a liberal arts education. Working closely with other departments in the University's nationally acclaimed Fulton School of Liberal Arts, the Jackson Music Program provides a wealth of musical opportunities for students of any major. The program accommodates the contemporary student who is seeking an understanding of music as part of a fundamental cultural education and the student who seeks a career as a professional musician, a music teacher or in the music industry. The program fosters a supportive "one-on-one" environment designed to enable students to gain admission to graduate programs and desirable musical appointments.
We need your help to give our students the practical lessons necessary to grow as musicians. Your gift, no matter the size, combined with others, will help the Jackson Music Program provide our students with opportunities to study and perform various genres of music.

Nationally Competitive Fellowships
Give to Nationally Competitive Fellowships on Giving Day!
Fellowships are merit-based monetary awards that support a wide range of activities, across the United States and around the world. The National fellowships office recruits, advises, and prepares students to compete for national fellowships and awards.
They welcome underclassmen, seniors, and alumni who are interested in competitive fellowships from their initial inquiry about opportunities available through the nomination and selection of candidates for national and international awards. Students can receive advice for over twenty-five awards, including the Fulbright Scholarship, NSF Fellowship, Marshall Scholarship, Rhodes scholarship and Goldwater Scholarship, among others. Your gift combined with others WILL make a difference to students. Please note that your gift is for the SNCFO in the instructions section.
