International Rome Program
Give to International Rome Program on Giving Day!
SU Theatre Department's unique International program in Rome is a transformative experience for our students. With a one-of-a-kind partnership with the Superintendent for Cultural Heritage for the city of Rome, students gain exclusive access to ancient sites, guided visits by experts, and the opportunity to perform on-location for experiential learning at its best.
As a state institution, SU has a rich variety of students from every walk of life. Many of these students cannot, however, afford to study abroad and attain the advantages that come with such an experience. By giving generously, you will reduce the cost of the program overall with savings passed on directly to every student who attends to provide many deserving students this experience of a lifetime!
International Studies
What is an international studies major? The international studies major is designed for students who seek a broad course of study focusing on the modern world that is different from traditional academic settings. Our program encourages students to view the world from different perspectives and consider social, political, economic, historical and cultural processes, power relations and linkages that connect individuals, communities, states, and regions.
We educate students in understanding the world outside the United States so that they can better serve as informed citizens in a democratic society and also as professionals in careers spanning national boundaries. To expand their horizons, we encourage a foreign academic experience for our students, and all students in this major must demonstrate proficiency in a non-English language.
Students work with a major advisor to choose courses on a specific region of the world or an international topic as a program of study.

James J. Berkman Endowment for Men's Lacrosse
Give to The James J. Berkman Endowment for Men's Lacrosse on Giving Day!
Salisbury Lacrosse has been very fortunate to have Jenny Berkman's brother, Scott Shilling and sister Sallyn Pajcic, create an endowment for the men's team. The first gift was made in honor of their brother, Todd Shilling who passed away in 2014. Todd was a true Sea Gull and he is missed every day. The funds from this endowment will be used to help with recruiting and equipment expenses to keep Sea Gull Lacrosse at a championship level for years to come.
Everyone knows Coach Berkman's record on the field. His real impact over the years, however, has been forming hundreds of players into men who have become great role models, fathers, husbands and successful businessmen. We need your help to keep this program one of the best in the country. Invest in the future of Sea Gull Lacrosse and honor Coach Berkman with a gift today!
